Watch the 2021 IMMAF European & Junior European Open Championships streamed live on immaf.tv from the Basket Hall in Kazan, Russia from 16 – 20 August, from 2pm UTC + 3 on Monday 16 and then, 11am UTC +3 daily.

The IMMAF’s nation vs nation, elite amateur MMA tournament is set to feature 214 athletes from 14 nations and will play out across 2 MMA rings over 5 days:

  • Monday 16 will show the Opening Ceremony and just two bouts from the male senior welterweight division (which stretches into the round of 32), plus a bonus European Championships preview programme. 
  • From Tuesday 16  to Friday 20, the estimated daily runtime of competition is 6 hrs 

Heavy-hitting teams include Bahrain, Russia and Kazakhstan and which hold the top 3 spots in the Senior World Amateur MMA Rankings and sit among the top 4 in the Junior Rankings. 

Rising Stars and athletes to watch, as identified by IMMAF, are Michele Montague (NZ), Ramazan Gitinov and Sabrina da Sousa (Bahrain), Magdalena Czaban (Poland), Jenni Kivioja (Finland) and Ayan Tursyn (Kazakhstan), and newly moving into the seniors, Omar Aliev (Russia).  Bagdat Zhubanysh (Kazakhstan) has unfortunately withdrawn due to injury.
