IMMAF Vice President Wissam Abi Nader and IMMAF representative Andrew Moshanov recently attended the Russian MMA Championships in Sochi, where they met with Russian MMA Union President Sergei Fateev.
The visit provided an opportunity to review competition operations and strengthen collaboration between IMMAF and the Russian MMA Union following its recent reinstatement as an IMMAF member federation.
Discussions focused on athlete development, coaching and officiating education, safeguarding standards, and preparations for upcoming international competitions, including the 2026 IMMAF Youth World Championships.
IMMAF remains committed to supporting its member federations in the development of safe, fair and well-governed amateur MMA, while promoting international sporting cooperation and best practice across the sport.
IMMAF thanks the Russian MMA Union for its hospitality and looks forward to continued collaboration in support of athlete development and the growth of amateur MMA.
