From IMMAF Gold to the Professional Stage: Nikolija Milošević’s Serbian Milestone

As Serbia prepares to host the IMMAF European Championships the occasion places a natural spotlight on the nation’s athletes. Among them stands a fighter whose journey already reflects the full value of the IMMAF pathway.

Nikolija Milošević is a two-time IMMAF Senior World Champion and IMMAF European Champion and remains the only Serbian athlete to win a Senior World title under the IMMAF banner. Now competing professionally with BRAVE Combat Federation she approaches a bout that will be her final step before signing with the UFC.

For the athletes competing at the Europeans on home soil her story is not a distant success. It is a clear example of where the IMMAF system can lead when development is trusted and followed with discipline.

IMMAF shaped Milošević long before she entered the professional ranks. The structure of its tournaments, the consistency of rules and the realities of multi day competition demanded more than technical ability. They demanded preparation, recovery, discipline and accountability. These were not lessons learned after turning professional but habits built during her amateur career.

“IMMAF shaped me far beyond just winning fights. It taught me how to prepare, perform and conduct myself like a professional long before I turned pro.

Competing internationally accelerated that growth. Facing opponents from different regions with contrasting strengths required constant adaptation and sharpened her tactical awareness. Performing under pressure in unfamiliar environments developed composure that now defines her approach to competition.

Becoming the only Serbian athlete to win an IMMAF Senior World Championship added a deeper responsibility. Representing her country at that level raised her standards in training in lifestyle and in how she carried herself inside and outside the cage. As Serbia now welcomes the European Championships that sense of representation carries added meaning for the next generation watching her journey unfold.

Her final chapter connected to the IMMAF platform is one she closes with clarity.

“Closing this chapter represents gratitude, completion and readiness. The standards and mindset built through IMMAF now carry forward into my professional career.”

From a coaching perspective Renato Subbotič views IMMAF as a structure that allows athletes to develop layer by layer without being rushed toward professionalism before they are ready.

“The IMMAF system allowed her to build experience, composure and fight IQ. A structured pathway allows athletes to mature physically, technically and emotionally before being tested at the highest level. IMMAF’s amateur platform is the spring board to UFC.”

Milošević’s progression from IMMAF champion to professional contender shows the value of patience, structure and trust in development. As the European Championships take place in Serbia her journey stands as clear evidence that IMMAF does more than produce medal winners. It prepares athletes for the demands of the professional stage and ultimately for the highest level of mixed martial arts.
