The IMMAF Athlete Awards celebrate the standout performers of the past year, honouring excellence across Senior, Junior, and Newcomer categories, with up to five nominees selected in each. Nominations are confirmed by the IMMAF Athletes Commission, based on medals earned and exceptional results at IMMAF Championships. In addition, the Performance of the Year award highlights the most memorable and impressive display by athletes in a single bout.
All nominated athletes are required to be active amateur competitors who have not yet transitioned to professional MMA. Winners are decided through a weighted vote, with 70% determined by the public and 30% by the IMMAF Board of Directors.
Nominees are considered from the 2024 World Championships and throughout each of the 2025 Continental Championships.
