The past week was full of action across multiple promotions. Many of these athletes got their start in the IMMAF system, which has consistently prepared fighters to compete at the highest level.
Here’s how our IMMAF alumni did this week :
On week 2 of the 2025 edition of Dana White’s Contender Series, Louis Lee Scott (10-0) remained unbeaten after a hard-fought battle with Kaushik Saikumar (5-1). Saikumar started strong with volume and speed, but Scott’s pressure began to take its toll as the rounds progressed. By the third round, the Englishman’s power broke through, and he earned a TKO stoppage that stamped him as a bantamweight prospect to follow, especially with a new UFC contract in his hands.
The PFL World Tournament 10 saw Rasul Magomedov (8-0) extend his perfect record with another composed showing. A decorated IMMAF graduate with multiple world and continental titles on his résumé, Magomedov leaned on his wrestling and control to outpoint Guilherme Viana (9-4) across three rounds. The decision win further highlighted his steady rise from the amateur circuit to the professional elite.
Over in Shanghai for Road to UFC, Lawrence Lui (7-1) delivered one of the standout performances of the weekend. Matched with Van Y Nghiem (6-2), Lui mixed sharp boxing with well-timed takedowns before dropping his opponent in the second round. The ground strikes that followed secured him a TKO victory and pushed him closer to the UFC opportunity he has been chasing, securing him a Tournament Finale appearance for the start of 2026.
African Knockout 10 produced another highlight as Zimbabwe’s Lewis Mataya (3-1) stepped up against Miezan Prince (2-1). The two engaged in a spirited striking battle until the second round, when Mataya’s aggression and power overwhelmed his opponent. The referee stepped in after a barrage of punches, giving Mataya a TKO victory that energised the Lagos crowd.
At the debut of Balkan Fight League, Armenian prospect Suren Manukyan (3-0) faced the vastly experienced Zoran Đođ (21-29-1). Despite the difference in experience, Manukyan pressed forward with confidence, landing heavy strikes that forced a TKO stoppage. The win kept his record unblemished and established him as a promising figure in the new promotion.
Closing out the weekend in Spain at WAR 7, David Hervias (2-0) continued his unbeaten run against Brazil’s Jhonatan Venancino (4-1). In a closely contested three-round affair, Hervias displayed measured striking and cage control to earn a unanimous decision. The victory added valuable experience to his young career and marked another successful outing for the Spanish lightweight.
Once again, these performances showed why the IMMAF system continues to be a critical pipeline for athletes capable of competing at the highest levels.
