Two time IMMAF Youth World Champion Zamzam Al Hammadi (UAE) has officially signed an amteur contract with PFL MENA marking a significant milestone in the promising career.
At just 17 years of age, Al Hammadi has emerged as a defining figure in the amateur MMA scene. In 2023, she become the first Emirati woman to win an IMMAF Youth World Championship alongside her sister Ghala. This was followed up by Asian gold and an additional Youth World Championship in 2024.
Her continued excellence in jiu-jitsu competition further established her reputation, with accolades from the Abu Dhabi World Pro Championship, Jiu-Jitsu World Championship, Jiu-Jitsu Asian Championship, and Abu Dhabi Grand Slam.
Al Hammadi’s signing with PFL MENA represents a noteworthy advancement not only for her personal development but also for women’s MMA in the region. She follows in the footsteps of Saudi Arabia’s Hattan Alsaif, who became the first Saudi woman to sign with a professional MMA organisation in 2024. Together, their achievements highlight the growing visibility and opportunity for female athletes across the Gulf and broader Middle East.
Although her contract with PFL MENA marks a step into the professional space, Al Hammadi will continue to compete in amateur showcase bouts during the upcoming season. This dual approach allows her to gain experience in a professional setting while remaining grounded in the amateur framework that has shaped her development.
