Youth B Showcases Elite Talent & Unstoppable Performances | 2025 IMMAF European Championships

Excitement surged on Day 2 of the 2025 IMMAF European Championships as the Youth B athletes followed up yesterday’s galvanizing performances with their own remarkable displays of talent and determination.

Competing on home turf, Serbia’s Amir Karisik made an immediate impact in the men’s Featherweight division. In his debut appearance, Karisik showcased a seamless combination of jiu-jitsu expertise, outmanoeuvring his opponents with multiple slick submission finishes. His clinical execution and superior grappling earned him a well-deserved place in the semi-finals, with his technical prowess outshining his competition at every turn.

England continued to demonstrate their strength across divisions, with Bella Adams making an exceptional appearance today. While her sister Lilah captured Gold on Day 1, Bella followed suit, defending her Youth B title with a flawless performance. Known for her mental resilience and technical acumen, Bella utilised intricate grappling to secure dominant positions and lock in submissions. Her victory not only reaffirmed her standing as a champion but also helped bring another Gold medal back to England.

In the Bantamweight category, Ibrahim Bulguchev of England propelled his team further into the finals with an assertive display. Bulguchev controlled the pace of the bout, consistently landing clean body shots and defending against his opponent’s strikes with sharp, precise movement. Once on the ground, he swiftly transitioned into a dominant position, applying a tight armbar that sealed the match, sending him through to the finals in impressive fashion.

Armenia’s Davit Sevlikyan, already a World Champion, added European Gold to his growing collection in the Featherweight division. His encounter with Ukraine’s Danylo Afonchenko, an athlete known for his solid jiu-jitsu fundamentals was a tactical masterclass. Sevlikyan’s ability to control the pace, using a variety of submissions including a textbook triangle choke, and his relentless pressure from top position, allowed him to nullify Afonchenko’s strengths.

Team Ukraine remained a dominant force in the standings, with strong contributions from fighters such as Yaroslav Poliakov and Polina Kovyrnova. Poliakov’s refined Kimura lock remains a signature move, while Kovyrnova’s sequence of three successive armbar submissions highlights her exceptional grappling. With 10 Gold medals, Ukraine’s fighters continue to set the standard.

Youth A, the last of the European Youth tournament promises to showcase the next generation of martial arts talent. With the potential for more incredible performances, tomorrow’s bouts are sure to capture the attention of fans across the globe.
