Training hard for the tournament in Uzbekistan or an upcoming fight? We know that intense training can take its toll on the body and mind.
Our partner recognises this too, and they’re sure you’ll have experienced challenges at some point that have affected both your performance and overall fitness. They’ve identified some of the most frequent challenges facing athletes, including:
- Overtraining syndrome (OTS) – OTS is a form of burnout that strikes athletes in endurance sports, characterised by performance drop, cognitive decline, and extreme mental and physical exhaustion.
- Central nervous system (CNS) fatigue – CNS fatigue develops when athletes are chronically overtrained without adequate recovery.
- Lack of focus and poor cognitive function – Mental fatigue can alter cognitive function and affect concentration levels.
- Sleeping difficulties – Sleep deprivation causes daytime sleepiness, significantly impacting performance and recovery.
- Concussion and post-concussion – Concussion injuries tend to manifest as headaches, dizziness, brain fog, eye strain and exhaustion, but can lead to more profound issues such as constant weariness, anxiety and emotional instability.
Have you struggled with any of the above? Our partner has the answers to your challenges, but we’ll unveil more about their solutions in due course.
