Eliezer Kubanza, a two-time IMMAF Africa Championships gold medallist, is now set for the next major test of his career as a mixed martial artist.
With a perfect 4-0 record since going pro, The Democratic Republic of Congo’s undefeated star is currently plying his trade at Bahrain-based MMA promotion, BRAVE CF.
It was recently announced that Kubanza will next compete at BRAVE CF 74, where he will face off against undefeated Frenchman, Levy Carriel, in Nantes, France, on September 7. This bout will mark Kubanza’s second under the BRAVE CF banner, with his first ending in a sensational first-round head kick victory in June.
His performance sent shockwaves around the world and was celebrated in his native Democratic Republic of Congo and in South Africa, where he now resides. Kubanza has lofty goals, giving the following statement to IMMAF when asked about his future in the sport:
“Right now, as a BRAVE FC fighter my goal is to conquer all those who are presented to me to fight. I aim to win the super welterweight belt and then move up to the next level. It’s as simple as that.
Eliezer Kubanza’s rise to prominence in the world of professional MMA has coincided with the upcoming 2023 IMMAF Africa Championships, with his success in the sport no doubt serving as a great motivational drive for the next generation of African stars that will be competing.
For Kubanza, his time competing in the IMMAF Africa Championships served as a catalyst that set him on the trajectory towards the elite mixed martial artist that he is today. He states:
“As an amateur in the world of mixed martial arts, I was seeking out challenges, good exposure and the opportunity to be seen and recognized for my talent. IMMAF provided this for me.”
“It was the game changer for me. It took my belief in myself to the next level. I started to really see myself as being a fighter who could fight outside of Africa, see the world and display the talent of African MMA fighters to the world.”
For the upcoming fighters that are looking up to him, Kubanza’s advice is simple but heartfelt:
“Be consistent and committed and the sky will always be the limit!”
Eliezer Kubanza’s upcoming fight takes place at the H Arena, in Nantes, France, under the BRAVE CF banner. The event will be held in association with Hexagone MMA.
