Sharif Mohammed Bapu Re-elected MMA India President Following Federation’s AGM

On April 1, MMA India National Federation held its annual general meeting (AGM). Members in attendance voted on the executive board, which will serve until 2027. 

The meeting also looked back on some key moments and highlights from the year, including the national team’s success in IMMAF events, finishing the year with nine medals from two competitions. 

Some of the other key moments from the year include the success of the federation’s national championships, which attracted a crowd of almost 25,000, as well as signing MOUs with Tajikistan and Mauritius. 

From an officials and coaching point of view, the federation actively held seminars and courses, including welcoming Marc Goddard for an officials seminar.

Following the election of the executive board, Sharif Mohammed Bapu will enter his second term as president after being re-elected. The rest of the board is as follows.

Film actress Preeti Janghiani was also appointed as the Chairperson of the Women’s Commission.
