The Championships will be aired live at immaf.tv.

Mixed martial arts (MMA) athletes wishing to enter must apply through their IMMAF affiliated National Federation

IMMAF President Kerrith Brown said:

“FIGMMA holds a proud record in the hosting of IMMAF tournaments, having delivered both the European Championships and inaugural Youth World Championships in 2019 to an excellent standard. We are grateful to FIGMMA President Saverio Longo, Vice-president Vito Paolillo, the FIGMMA board and FEDERKOMBAT for agreeing to now host IMMAF’s 2022 European Championships as we build back after the pandemic. Indeed, we look forward to the first Euros since the lifting of travel restrictions, where emerging rising stars will get to meet for the first time and establish a new order in the rankings ahead of the 2022 World Championships.”

IMMAF has its strongest footprint in Europe with 43 member nations. Of its European members, 6 sit in the top #10 senior teams of the World Amateur MMA Rankings, including Sweden, Ukraine, Ireland, Spain and Italy; while Ukraine, Poland, England and Ireland sit among the top #10 junior teams. The continent has also produced some of IMMAF’s best known exports including Muhammad Mokaev (England), Leah McCourt (Northern Ireland), Jack Shore (Wales), Manon Fiorot (France) and Italian Alessio di Chirico – IMMAF’s first gold medallist to compete in the UFC.
