The second day of the 2021 IMMAF European & Junior European Open Championships has just concluded in Kazan, Russia.

The International Mixed Martial Arts Federation’s nation vs nation tournament, which features 214 athletes, continues until Friday 20 August. The tournaments are being live-streamed daily on immaf.tv from two MMA rings, starting at 11am (UTC) with an estimated daily runtime of 6 hours.
Highlight matches today saw IMMAF rising star and #1 pound-for-pound, Ramazan Gitinov of Bahrain, secure his first win against Musa Ramazanov of Russia in the senior welterweight division. Recent IMMAF medallists whose victories put them through to the next round include: senior flyweight Suleyman Bershigadov (2019 senior silver medallist – Russia), senior welterweight Evgeny Morozov (2019 senior silver medallist – Russia), senior welterweight Murad Guseinov (2019 junior World & European champion – Bahrain) and 2018 female flyweight champion, Janika Antinmaa (Finland).
IMMAF President Kerrith Brown said: “Today’s first full day of competition boasted some stunning matches, with all 2019 senior medallists going through to the next rounds. These will certainly be names to keep an eye on as the competitiveness increases through the tournament. Congratulations to today’s winners and their teams.”
