On January 27 the 22-year-old secured one last title as he triumphed in the Lightweight FIGMMA national team qualifying tournament, contested under the banner of Praedator Fighting Championship. The Hung Mun MMA product picked up Unanimous Decision wins over semi-finalist Daniel Mammerella and Daniele Esposito in the final before announcing his decision to turn pro. Spinola is a multiple time national champion having won the Italian Championships, national qualifiers and Italian Cup. Spinola is a three-year veteran of the international IMMAF platform, first competing at the 2015 European Open Championships before continuing on to qualifying and feature at the 2016 and 2017 European Open and 2016/2017 World Championships. Also advancing to Italy’s 2018 national team was middleweight competitor Dario Bellandi. The 2017 European Open gold medalist collected submission and TKO wins to qualify and will likely be in action looking to defend his European title from 17-23 June at the 2018 IMMAF European Championships in Bucharest, Romania.
