The National League of Mixed Martial Arts Cameroon (NLMMAC) continues with great enthusiasm and effort to further the sport of MMA in the Central African nation with local events and training opportunities, to encourage an increase of participation. Starting today, August 19, and culminating on Saturday, August 20, Cameroon’s National Amateur MMA championships will be contested at CFC 5 in the capital city of Yaounde, sanctioned by the National League of Mixed Martial Arts Cameroon – visit the Events page for more information. The National Championships will begin momentum for the national team who are now aiming to compete in the historic IMMAF Africa Open Championships in South Africa, competing alongside international counterparts such as India, and Sweden who currently lead as the most successful team under the IMMAF banner this year, following the 2016 World Championships. So far in 2016, the NLMMAC has secured team sponsorship with respected international equipment brand Green Hill and has also welcomed veteran UFC cutman Joe Clifford who conducted an educational workshop on correct medical practice when cornering fights. The NLMMAC has also hosted national team training sessions and has promoted the effectiveness of Mixed Martial Arts with a series of technique seminars for Cameroon’s Special Forces.]]>
