The German Mixed Martial Arts Federation (GEMMAF) is organizing a selective MMA training camp for its second year running, from 2 to 4 October. The German Amateur MMA team competition schedule this year has so far taken in the national Aschaffenburg MMA-Amateur-Championships in March and the 2015 IMMAF World Championships in Las Vegas in July. November will see the team heading to Birmingham to participate in the 2015 IMMAF European Open. In preparation for the Europeans the GEMMAF has organized an open selective training seminar in Aschaffenburg. Although the national rankings are taken into account for selection, the GEMMAF also wants to widen its net by opening up the opportunity to all interested competitors. The planned seminar weekend covers all the core elements of MMA, from standing to groundwork, positional hierarchy, control and defence. Joining national coaches Franco De Leonardis and Team Manager Lutz Heyden, will be German #3 ranked Pro, Andreas Kraniotakes. Other speakers will be announced in the coming days. The weekender includes performance tests at the end of each unit of study. In addition to this ADIDAS representative, Herbert Hainer, will be in attendance in order to get a snapshot of upcoming German potential. For more information, contact: [email protected]
