UAE and Angola earn first Gold medals; Ukraine and England continue to lead | 2025 Youth World Championships

The 2025 IMMAF Youth World Championships continued at full speed this Wednesday, July 23. The Youth B categories were introduced, with more drama, world-class MMA action and a clear vision of what sports fans can expect in years to come.

Youth athletes from all over the world competed across eight weight classes, leaving an indelible mark on the MMA landscape.

Zlata Klein was the story of the day as the Ukrainian ruled over the Youth B Women 52kg category, earning an incredible five wins – all by way of armbar. Her performances have led Team Ukraine to top the medal table once again, as she was joined by Daryna Sakovych and Mariia Kyrychenko as Ukrainian Youth World Champions.

Another young athlete who made history was Stelvia Muhanha, as she became the first Angolan Youth world champion this year by winning the Youth B Women 40kg category.

Meanwhile, Team England continued to impress, earning two Gold medals on Day 3. First with Noah Tyndall, who came back after narrowly missing out on the top spot last year. Another English victory came through Ceejay Fenton. He also became a Youth World champion after suffering disappointment last year, when he took Bronze. The reigning IMMAF European Youth champion won his six matches, with three submissions to take the biggest title of his young career thus far.

Saif Alblooshi earned the host nation its first Gold medal as he took the United Arab Emirates flag to the podium to celebrate his win in the Youth B Men 44kg category.

Team Ukraine and Team England continue locked in the two top spots of the overall Medal Table, as they now have 22 Gold medals between them – 12 for Ukraine and 10 for England.

The 2025 IMMAF Youth World Champions continues this Thursday, with the conclusion of the Youth B categories, on Day 4 – you can watch the stars of tomorrow in action LIVE at IMMAF.tv
