*16 Top World Ranked Athletes in 10 Weight Categories

The Russia MMA Union proudly invites MMA amateurs from around the world to compete in the Russian MMA Union Men’s International MMA Cup tournament in Khanty – Mansiysk, Russia, from 16 – 21 September.
With a $40,000 USD fund of prize money to be divided among the winners, the five-day tournament is for senior males (18+) across 10 weight divisions spanning Strawweight to Super Heavyweight, and presents the opportunity for all gold, silver and bronze medallists to win $2000 (Gold), $1000 (Silver) and $500 (Bronze) respectively.
There are 16 places in each category for the top-ranking applicants (according to the IMMAF | WMMAA World Amateur MMA Rankings), and a maximum of 2 places per national team in each division
The Russian city of Khanty-Mansiysk is an alpine skiing centre of global renown, well experienced in hosting major sporting events. Biathlon World Cup competitions are held there annually, while the city is home to the HC Yugra of the Continental Hockey League and the Ugra Chess Academy, which has hosted the 2010 Chess Olympiad and numerous World Cups.
The Russian MMA Union Men’s International MMA Cup tournament will be broadcast live internationally on IMMAF TV and other platforms.
Russian MMA Union Chairman, Fedor Emelianenko, said:
“The tournament is held at a high level as an international competition in Ugra, and is not in its first year. I have no doubt that the tournament in 2019 under its new (IMMAF – WMMAA) standards will attract a greater number of foreign participants, which will increase this event’s significance in the international MMA arena.”
