Images: sportsmanship & respect between IMMAF Athletes

The ethos of good sportsmanship and respect was upheld to the highest degree by athletes at the 2016 IMMAF World Championships of Amateur MMA, the biggest Mixed Martial Arts event of 2016. The #2016IMMAFWorlds showcased over 200 athletes from 33 Nations spanning the globe. The Championships featured tournament brackets across 13 weight categories, including both male and female divisions. Speaking at the 2016 IMMAF Congress, Founder August Wallen highlighted the spirit of IMMAF and the responsibility of peace work that comes with membership to all major sporting organisations, with IMMAF’s national leaders in attendance. With a current total of 58 Member Federations and over 200 athletes coming together to compete from around the world, IMMAF is spreading unification and cooperation across all nations and cultures worldwide. Through their displays of comradery, this year’s participating athletes in Las Vegas served as the face of August Wallen’s vision. The IMMAF World Championships finals took place on Sunday, July 10th, at the UFC Fan Expo.
