The 2026 IMMAF Angola Dipanda Open World Cup will bring together athletes from 19 nations in Luanda this September.
The competition is scheduled to take place in the Angolan capital from September 17 to 20, 2026, featuring Youth A and Senior age brackets.
Host nation Angola will be joined by Algeria, Brazil, the Democratic Republic of the Congo, Ghana, Iraq, India, Kenya, Mongolia, Pakistan, Peru, Portugal, the Republic of the Congo, South Africa, Syria, Tunisia, Uruguay, Zambia and Zimbabwe.
Africa will have the strongest presence, with 10 nations represented. But the event will also have a strong international flavour, with athletes travelling from Asia, South America and Europe.
This will be a special event for MMA in Angola. The country has already hosted IMMAF competitions at a continental level. However, the 2026 Angola Dipanda Open World Cup will be the first IMMAF event in which Angola will host nations from outside Africa.
The event will give competitors another chance to gain experience at IMMAF level and test themselves against athletes from different countries. For the host nation, it will also be an opportunity to compete at home against a wider range of opponents than at previous continental events.
With preparations now entering their final stages, the event promises another exciting chapter for amateur MMA.
