Klein, Barraza, and Iskandarzoda retain world tites as Youth B action concludes | 2026 IMMAF World Championships

Day 4 of the IMMAF Youth World Championships saw the Youth B competition continue in Abu Dhabi.

Zlata Klein was one of the big names of the day. The Ukrainian claimed another gold medal to become a four-time IMMAF Youth World Champion, submitting each and every opponent and concluding the tournament with a stunning leg Americana from the scarf hold position following a takedown of Russia’s Kseniia Vorotilina in the opening seconds of the 2026 title decider. Klein’s Youth MMA record now stands at 26-0.

Mexico’s Wendy Barraza also leaves Abu Dhabi with gold upon retaining her world title. The Mexican sensation became a three-time Youth World Champion, adding another major result to her IMMAF career after submitting Russia’s Sofia Aleksandrova in the semi-finals and advancing to earn a unanimous decision over Ukraine’s Iryna Martseniuk, cementing her champion status with wins over the two foremost prominent teams of the IMMAF Youth Championships.

Tajikistan enjoyed plenty of success on Day 4.

Ibrohim Mirzoev took gold in the Youth B 40kg division, with Ukraine’s Mykhailo Tsyhankov finishing second. Nurshed Kovatov of Tajikistan and Mykyta Kartyshov of Ukraine completed the podium with bronze medals.

The Youth B 70.1kg (170lbs) division may have provided the perfect embodiment of the IMMAF Youth pathway, as Nate Fisher made his IMMAF debut for Team England, and wasted no time making his mark. The English prospect submitted all rivals through the group and elimination stages to reach the final, where he faced the defending world champion Yoqub Iskandarzoda. This time, Fisher came up short. Tajikistan’s young star retained his world title via submission in a stylish display of highly rounded skills, while the Englishman finished his first IMMAF tournament with a valiant silver medal effort.

Fisher already has strong links to the sport. His mother, Katrina Fisher, is an IMMAF Senior World and European champion. His father, Andrew Fisher, is a professional veteran and Team England coach.

Day 4 brought the Youth B competition to a close after two days of action in Abu Dhabi. The Championship’s final three days will see competition across the Youth A divisions.
