Day 5 of the 2025 IMMAF World Championships concluded in style with the first batch of Youth A categories putting on tremendous performances throughout the day. Five different nations were awarded world titles in the five divisions that saw action.
Tajikistan, Romania, and Uzbekistan all earned Gold medals, as Team England and Team Ukraine are set to battle it out for the top spot on the overall medal table.
For England, Bella Adams made a successful debut in the Youth A age category, winning all of her matches. Adams added the 2025 IMMAF Youth World title to an increasingly impressive set of wins. She had previously won the Youth World gold medal last year at Youth B, having also won European gold earlier this year in Serbia.
Meanwhile, in the Youth A Women’s Atomweight division, Liubov Khmilevska won Gold for Ukraine, guaranteeing her nation stays on top of the overall medal table.
Umar Sharifov made sure that Team Tajikistan continues in third place overall with an impressive performance in the Youth A Men’s Strawweight division, while Abdulaziz Kholmatov (Youth A Men’s Flyweight) and Cojocaru Mirela Elisa (Youth A Women’s Flyweight) earned world titles for Uzbekistan and Romania, respectively. It was Romania’s first Gold of the tournament.
