The IMMAF Regulatory Affairs Department, under the leadership of Director Guilherme Bravo, has officially completed the revision of the IMMAF Rules Book for 2025. The updated manual is set for release before the Youth World Championships, scheduled for 20–27 July 2025 in Al Ain, UAE.
“This edition brings not only structural clarity and updated competition policies, but also integrates the evolving needs of athletes, coaches, officials, and federations under a unified and modern regulatory framework,” said Bravo.
What’s New in the 2025 Rules Book?
The 2025 edition consolidates all amateur MMA competition rules across Youth, Junior, Senior, and Masters divisions.
Key updates include:
- New standardised fouls lists for all divisions, with emphasis on Youth D,
- Masters, Juniors, Seniors, and Youth A, B, and C.
- A revised structure for coaches’ conduct, corner control, and regulatory
- boundaries.
- Clarified protocols on weigh-ins, match formats, official responsibilities, and
- fight result criteria.
Simultaneous Release – Youth, Junior, Senior & Masters Rules Available Now
Although the focus is on the Youth World Championships, the Regulatory Affairs Department is taking this opportunity to also release for the first time the full competition foul lists and formats for the Junior, Senior, and Masters divisions.
This strategic early release also prepares national federations for the IMMAF Juniors, Seniors, and Masters World Championships in Tbilisi, Georgia, scheduled for September 2025.
Effective immediately, federations and officials can access:
- The full Youth A–D fouls list
- Updated fouls and format documents for Juniors, Seniors, and Masters
- General 2025 competition regulations
- Institutional guidance on coaches’ behaviour and regulatory enforcement
The full IMMAF 2025 Rules Book PDF will be officially published no later than 15 July 2025.
