IMMAF are delighted to announce that Latvian MMA’s membership has been approved. This agreement will see Latvia join the existing 130 federations under the IMMAF umbrella.
Speaking on the new membership, Ivans Stalnojs, the secretary of Latvian MMA, stated:
“We are very flattered. IMMAF is number one in the World of Amateur MMA, and it is a great motivation and honour for us to be part of such a big community.
“This is the best place to motivate young athletes to reach new heights and compare skills with the world’s strongest MMA fighters. This is a new level and global recognition; our task is to help children believe in themselves and achieve success in life and sports.
“The IMMAF team has been very professional in helping us with paperwork and all necessary procedures.”
This historic partnership adds to an exciting time for IMMAF as we prepare for our Youth World Championships in Abu Dhabi, starting on August 6th, and following our exciting renewal with the UAE capital.
IMMAF President Kerrith Brown, confirmed the federations pleasure in finalising an agreement with Latvia.
“It’s great to have Latvia on board”, said Brown.
“They’re a new federation and we look forward to working with them and helping them harness their potential.
“The continuation and growth of IMMAF is strong and with the latest addition of Latvia, it shows we are still carrying an upward trajectory on our Road towards Recognition.”
