IMMAF’s policy for the annual revalidation of referees and judges is set to play a key condition in the selection of IMMAF-certified Referees and Judges to officiate in IMMAF events throughout 2024.
The annual revalidation process aims to establish transparent pathways for the professional advancement of IMMAF-certified specialists, progressing from National level C to Continental level B and International level A.
Furthermore, there is a significant update for the Youth age band A, where the minimum technical standard for 2024 has been set to Green Belt, effective immediately.
The entire revalidation process will be supervised by the IMMAF Sports Development Department, with the Continental Referees and Judges Commissions tasked with its management.
It is also noteworthy that any officials holding IMMAF certification that have not been working in an official capacity at IMMAF events for more than a year will also have to go through revalidation.
This collective effort aims to enhance the overall quality and professionalism of officiating in IMMAF events, ensuring the continuous growth and development of certified specialists.
IMMAF Director of Sports Development Andrew Moshanov comments on the policy:
“IMMAF is dedicated to promoting the continuous professional development of all IMMAF-certified specialists, which ensures the “Golden Standard” is met when staging events. All referees and judges looking to be considered for working at any IMMAF events in 2023 and 2024 must have passed the online revalidation test and meet the pass mark”.
