Sharif is one of IMMAF’s most senior officials, holding the prestigious IMMAF “A” Category certification and bringing decades of experience from across the world of martial arts. He holds 7th Dan in Karate (WKF), 5th Dan in Kickboxing (WAKO), and an IMMAF Black Belt, reflecting a lifetime of technical and competitive commitment.
Over the years, he has served in numerous national, continental, and international executive sports positions, contributing to the development and governance of martial arts across multiple structures. Since 2016, he has been the President of the Indian National MMA Federation, leading the sport’s expansion and institutional strengthening in one of the world’s largest sporting nations.
Beyond administration, he has personally trained police officers, navy commandos, and groups of underprivileged youth, applying martial arts as a tool for discipline, resilience, and social uplift. He also oversees several social-impact projects aimed at supporting vulnerable communities.
In recognition of his contribution to sport, he was honoured with the Queen’s Baton during the 2010 Commonwealth Games.
