Registration is now open for national federations wishing to compete in the 2023 International Mixed Martial Arts Federation Pan American Championships. This year, the Pan Ams Championships will take place in Bogota, Colombia from the 10th to the 13th of August.
IMMAF is working in partnership with BRAVE CF, the Colombian Association of Mixed Martial Arts (OCAMM), and in co-promotion with Latin Fighter Championship (LFC) to put together what is expected to be the biggest combat sports festival in the region’s history.
National teams wishing to compete must be pre-registered for the event using the IMMAF Online Registration System: smoothcomp.com
The deadline for Pre-Registration is Friday 14th July 2023. For those wishing to watch, the event will be streamed live worldwide on immaf.tv.
The Pan Ams Championships will hold six weight divisions for female athletes, from 105lbs (Atomweight) up to 155lbs (Lightweight). There will be ten weight classes for the male athletes, from 115 (Strawweight) up +265lbs (Super Heavyweight). The competition will be conducted per the latest IMMAF Amateur rules.
IMMAF President Kerrith Brown said:
“These championships will once again provide opportunity for Pan American talents to test themselves on an elite amateur platform that never fails to demonstrate the flair and thrilling level of competition between nations of the Americas, with each year highlighting our collective expansion and development of participating nations and ever evolving athletic quality.”
The 2022 Pan American Championships produced a number of future stars, most notably Anthony Orozco (USA) who recently made a successful step up into the pro ranks of MMA. The 2023 Championships promise more of the same, making it a can’t-miss event that will undoubtedly be a showcase for both spectacle and skill.
