IMMAF has announced that the policy of bi-annual revalidation of all referees and judges holding an IMMAF licence has been launched with immediate effect.
The announcement comes as part of IMMAF’s review of its approach to training all the task forces involved in the delivery of IMMAF events.
The purpose of the bi-annual revalidation is to create transparent pathways for the professional growth of all IMMAF-certified specialists from National level C to Continental level B and International level A.
The process will be supervised by the IMMAF Sports Development Department and managed by Continental Referees and Judges Commissions.
IMMAF Director of Sports Development AM comments on the policy:
“IMMAF is dedicated to promoting the continuous professional development of all IMMAF-certified specialists, which ensures the “Golden Standard” is met when staging events. All referees and/or judges looking to be considered for working at any IMMAF events in 2023 and 2024 must have passed the online revalidation test and meet the pass mark”.
The revalidation resource has been designed by the working group consisting of the most experienced IMMAF referees and judges and will go live on May 1, 2023.
IMMAF President Kerrith Brown added:
“We are delighted to announce the revalidation process for IMMAF-certified specialists. IMMAF is committed to creating a pathway for athletes and officials alike. This process will ensure the continuous development of specialists and that we meet the gold standard we strive to achieve at IMMAF events.”
