Earlier this month, on March 4, Stowarzyszenie MMA Polska held its sixth set of MMA Championships in Warsaw, Poland, which attracted a record number of athletes.
590 spectators were in attendance to witness the nation’s top amateurs compete. Youth, junior and senior brackets took place, with 491 athletes from over 160 clubs competing across the three categories.
It was the third time the championships took place in Warsaw, and the participation number has grown by over a hundred athletes on each occasion.
The broadcast was available to view live on the federation’s YouTube channel, with finals broadcasted on television.
Members of the national team that travelled to Italy to compete at the 2022 European Championships were amongst the medals, with Blanka Stępień and Kamil Malinowski both taking home gold.
Ares Fight Club Warsaw was the club that topped the rankings at the end of the day, closely trailed by Uks Mały Warrior – Warsaw.
