It was announced in July that IMMAF Director of Regulatory Affairs Marc Goddard had been nominated for the Referee of the Year Award in the 14th annual Fighters Only MMA Awards. Alongside IMMAF President Kerrith Brown, who was nominated for the Leading Man of the Year Award. Voting was open until September, and the nomination period spanned from July 1, 2021, to June 30, 2022.
On December 9, at the award ceremony, it was announced that Marc Goddard had won the Referee of the Year Award. Goddard has played a pivotal part in the amateur side of the sport, contributing significantly to the development and training of officials worldwide and the amateur ruleset adopted by IMMAF. IMMAF would like to congratulate Marc on his award.
Following the ceremony, Goddard posted on social media to thank everyone for their support.
