Brendan Allen TKO's Top Rival; 2015 IMMAF Champion Moves to 2-0 in UFC

On February 29 former IMMAF world champion Brendan Allen secured his second UFC triumph at UFC on ESPN in Virginia, USA.

Upon booking his place in the UFC via Dana White’s Contender Series, the Roufusport fighter is now 2-0 in the world’s leading MMA promotion with an overall 14-3 pro record. He produced a demolition job against highly rated UK prospect Tom Breese in a middleweight bout last weekend, handing the 28-year-old Brit his first ever stoppage loss by securing a takedown against the fence and forcing the referee stoppage with strikes in the final seconds of the opening round.

The Team USA veteran and former national champion won gold in the middleweight division at the 2015 IMMAF World Championships of Amateur MMA in Las Vegas (main picture). It was a golden era for the U.S. national team with Allen’s title winning team mates including the likes of Jose Torres and Will Starks. Allen became the world’s inaugural number-one ranked contender upon the inception of the IMMAF world amateur rankings.

The 2020 IMMAF Oceania Open Championships take place from 6 – 8 March at the Tallebudegra Leisure Center on Australia’s Gold Coast. For more information and tickets, click HERE.
