By IMMAF.org lead writer, Jorden Curran IMMAF president Kerrith Brown visited the Philippines this week to join proposed IMMAF member, the Philippines MMA Federation, at a Hall of Fame ceremony hosted by leading national promoter, URCC Global. Mr. Brown joined Arthur Alvin Aguilar, founder of the national federation and URCC promoter. The BJJ black belt also serves as chair of the Wrestling Association of the Philippines. Alongside national combat sport stakeholders and MMA legend Frank Shamrock, the IMMAF president delivered a speech at the star studded URCC Hall of Fame, placing a spotlight on the focus of his visit that expressed IMMAF’s mission for youth development programs, athlete progression pathways and the vision for the sport of mixed martial arts to feature at the 2028 Olympics. Taking place at the Samsung Hall in Taguig, the URCC Hall of Fame ceremony paid tribute to those who have exhibited exemplary service across the world of martial arts, such as Monsour del Rosario: actor, congressman and Filipino Taekwondo champion, who received the URCC Global award presented by Mr. Brown.
