McCourt then reached the pinnacle of amateur success by achieving Gold as a 145lb Featherweight, at the 2016 IMMAF World Championships in Las Vegas this year. The Amateur MMA and BJJ prodigy met with UFC dual-champion Conor McGregor this weekend, at UFC Fight Night in Belfast, Northern Ireland. UFC Fight Night in Belfast was shadow sanctioned by the Ulster Amateur MMA Association, headed by Association President Rodney Moore and Director/National Amateur Team Coach Danny Corr. The fresh faced Ulster team making their way to Prague will be strengthened by familial bonds as Jack Corr (Bantamweight), son of head coach Danny Corr, and cousin Gerard Corr (Featherweight), step up for their first taste of international experience.
