IMMAF Partners with Tuff-N-Uff for 2016 IMMAF World Championships

The International Mixed Martial Arts Federation (IMMAF) is proud to partner with local promotion, Tuff-N-Uff, in hosting its 2016 IMMAF World Championships of Amateur MMA, which takes place from Tuesday, July 5 – Sunday, July 10 in Las Vegas, USA. The event sees representatives from IMMAF’s 53-member nations face off as part of the 5th Annual UFC International Fight Week™, the world’s largest celebration of combat sports. The 2016 IMMAF World Championships will be hosted at the Las Vegas Convention Center during the week, with the championships final featured on July 10 at the UFC Fan Expo®. Tuff-N-Uff is a 20-year old combat sports organisation based in Las Vegas. The promotion is renowned for presenting some of the best amateur mixed martial arts (MMA) action in the nation since 2003 and for giving rise to the biggest star in the sport today, UFC bantamweight champion Ronda Rousey, as well as UFC veteran Ryan Couture and newly-signed UFC welterweight Alan Jouban. Tuff-N-Uff has helped grow the careers of many other MMA athletes including Jessamyn Duke, Ashlee Evans-Smith, Tonya Evinger, Jon Fitch, Jesse Forbes, Chris Holdsworth, Brad Imes, Jimmy Jones and Jesse Taylor. As Tuff-N-Uff and IMMAF join forces for the 3rd year running, the annual amateur tournament will air its post-event highlights on UFC FIGHT PASS®, along with other international television platforms. The event is to be sanctioned by the United States MMA Federation (UMMAF) under the Nevada State Athletic Commission. Tuff-N-Uff CEO Jeff Meyer said: “Tuff-N-Uff is excited to partner with IMMAF for its 3rd consecutive year to host the IMMAF World Championship tournament during UFC Fight Week in Las Vegas. It is with great pride that Tuff-N-Uff partners with such a prestigious organisation.” IMMAF President Kerrith Brown said: “On behalf of the IMMAF board, I celebrate the renewal of our partnership with Tuff-N-Uff. Jeff Meyer and his team have been with IMMAF since its very first world championship event in 2014. Through collaborative effort we achieved a world first in 2014, bringing together for the first time athletes from 23 countries across 5 continents for a week of elite amateur competition. Together in 2015, we were able to present an evolved IMMAF World Championship event on a bigger and more polished platform. We look forward in 2016 to bettering ourselves yet again by presenting the best and biggest IMMAF Championship event yet. We are also hugely grateful to the UFC for their continued support, and for the opportunity once again to be part of UFC Fight Week.” Tickets for UFC Fan Expo will be offered in various packages, with three-day passes beginning at $75 online. Two-day passes begin at $65, while one-day passes are $45. Fans can also purchase VIP elite packages for $300 or VIP ultimate packages for $3,000. *Events are subject to change.
