UFC ANNOUNCES SUPPORT TO THE POLISH MMA FEDERATION During the recent press conference that took place ahead of the very first, historical UFC event in Poland, “UFC Fight Night: Gonzaga vs. Cro Cop 2”; UFC Senior Vice President and General Manager for the EMEA, David Allen, formally welcomed PLMMAF official, Pawel Harasim. During the press conference, David Allen, announced the UFC’s close cooperation and support for the Polish MMA Federation moving forwards. Officials from the PLMMAF will be shadowing operations at the Krakow event which takes place on 11th April. Last October, United Kingdom MMA Federation representatives were likewise invited to shadow UFC processes in Stockholm at “UFC Fight Night: Nelson vs Story”. As in Poland there is no enforced regulatory framework for MMA in the UK. In both countries the federations are working in partnership with promoters to evolve best practice guidelines and work towards voluntary sanctioning. UFC engagement with these programmes will provide a significant boost for MMA and sport regulation in both regions. See UFC Press Conference video below
