Not only was the show a new step for the SFL in the Emirates, but this was a historic show featuring the first ever team championship between sporting rivals, teams India and Pakistan. A joint commission of MMA officials representing AIMMAA and PAKMMA supervised the entire show on 27th Febraury. It is also considered a historic event since never before have officials from both countries worked together in MMA. Both PAKMMA and AIMMAA are official representatives of the IMMAF in their respective countries. On the 26th February the public weigh-ins were held at a 5 star scenic location featuring the world famous Burj Khalifa as a backdrop. The weigh-ins were supervised by the joint commission of MMA officials and attended by SFL International CEO Bill Dosanjh , leading UK based Punjabi vocalist Benny Dhaliwal and International boxer Haroon Khan. The show received good reviews on TV and Ten sports televised it live to Africa, the UAE, India and Pakistan, among other countries. Ryan Thorpe was head referee, Alan Fenandes was the head coach of team India while Daniel Isaac led the joint commission as Commissioner.
