Pirov Dominates with Seven Wins as Final Day Nears | 2025 Youth World Championships

Tremendous performances continued as Team England drew level with Ukraine on overall gold medals, thanks to Valentina Pensavalle’s world title win in the Youth A Women’s Bantamweight division. Both nations now sit on 13 golds, with Ukraine retaining the lead through a higher count of silver and bronze medals.

The standout performance of the day was from Tajikistan’s own Muhammadjon Pirov, who won seven back-to-back matches to be crowned Youth World Champion. Team Poland emerged as the standout nation of the day, claiming two gold medals courtesy of Julia Lewandowska and Dominik Sitko. Lithuania’s Gerda Brazaite and Spain’s Mercedes Garcia Rodriguez also captured world titles on a packed Day 6 at the Al Ain Performance Centre in Al Ain, Abu Dhabi.
