Consuli and Humphries Among IMMAF Vets Making Waves | IMMAF Alumni Watch

By Cédric Dumas

This past weekend delivered another wave of strong performances from emerging prospects across the global MMA scene, many of whom continue to build on their solid amateur foundations they started on the IMMAF circuit. With action spread from Brazil to China, and from Europe to the Middle East, a number of rising fighters took key steps forward in their careers.

LFA 212 saw Bea Consuli (6–0) secure another win in her budding career with a dominant showing against Naiane “Escala” Silva in a flyweight bout. Consuli controlled the fight early, secured top position, and unleashed a calculated ground-and-pound assault that forced the referee’s hand just 3:08 into the opening round. A strong showing for the former IMMAF World Champion, this should mark her final appearance on the regional circuit before a likely call-up to a major promotion.

At Cage Warriors 192, multiple IMMAF alumni and former medalists were in action. Pan-American gold medalist Anthony Orozco (7–0) delivered a dominant performance in his toughest test to date, earning a lopsided unanimous decision over seasoned veteran Luan Duarte. Over three rounds, Orozco showcased his composure and versatility, using slick footwork to manage distance, controlling clinch exchanges, and securing well-timed takedowns. His ground-and-pound and positional control were particularly effective, with all three judges awarding him at least one 10–8 round. The American’s maturity under pressure and well-rounded skill set highlight a background shaped by disciplined development, echoing the qualities seen in IMMAF graduates.

Ollie Sarwa (7–0) picked up a hard-fought split decision win against Damiano Scogna in a competitive bout that tested his ability to adjust under fire. Sarwa showed strong timing on his entries and remained composed during scrambles, ultimately edging the contest on two of the three judges’ scorecards. It was a key learning experience and a confidence-building result for the English prospect, who continues to evolve with each outing.

IMMAF medallist Jack Humphries (4–0) added another finish to his growing résumé, submitting Rory Evans in the first round with a tight anaconda choke. The victory was quick and clinical, as Humphries capitalised on a scramble opportunity and locked in the submission with precision, needing less than three minutes to secure the tap. With this win, he reinforces his status as one of the most promising grapplers on the UK regional circuit.

Mitchell Goode (2–1) mirrored that success with a first-round rear-naked choke over Tye Palmer, adding another submission to his record and continuing his steady climb.

BRAVE CF featured notable bouts involving IMMAF veterans Deyan Galinov (4–1) and Murad Guseinov (9–0). Guseinov, a multiple-time IMMAF medalist, continued his undefeated streak with a composed first-round stoppage over Gabriel Bula. Showcasing clean striking and tactical pressure, he closed the bout at 4:05 with clinical precision. Earlier in the evening, Galinov delivered an impressive performance of his own, earning a second-round knockout victory over Abdou Kadirr Sowe with well-timed counterstriking and composure.

Kosim Sardorov (2–0) stayed sharp at JCK Fight Night 101, delivering a controlled and technically sound performance against Yuriy Titorenko. Sardorov demonstrated refined striking, excellent cage control, and tactical awareness throughout the fight. He capped off the performance with a rare “Scottish Twister” submission finish, a technique rarely seen at this level. It was a statement win for the 2024 IMMAF World Champion.

In China, Mirzobek Umarov (3–1) impressed at WGK, earning a dominant knockout victory. The rising flyweight prospect, one of the region’s most promising talents, landed clean early in the fight to secure the stoppage and start building a win streak. A 2022 IMMAF silver medalist, Umarov continues to showcase the value of a strong amateur pedigree.
