The Danish MMA Federation has announced a significant change for the 2025 Danish MMA Championships, bringing back the tournament format.
After listening to feedback from athletes and members, the federation has opted for a new structure that closely aligns with international competition standards.
The championships will take place over three days, from August 15 to 17, at Humlehøjhallen in Sønderborg. This format will see athletes compete once per day, with the possibility of advancing through three fights over three days. The adjustment aims to better prepare Danish athletes for the demands of IMMAF tournaments, such as the 2025 World Championships, set to take place later this year.
By reintroducing the tournament format, the Danish MMA Federation hopes to provide a valuable opportunity for local fighters to experience high-level competition on home soil. The new structure ensures that athletes can focus on recovery and strategy between matches while maintaining the intensity and challenge of a multi-day event.
The federation encourages all Danish fighters to take advantage of this unique opportunity and participate in the 2025 Danish MMA Championships. With an enhanced format designed to mirror the international stage, this event marks a crucial step in the continued development of MMA in Denmark.
