It’s Week 2 and we’re ready to introduce the science of what makes you perform at your best. Our partner has shared some enlightening education on the building blocks that make up your body – your cells.
Your body is composed of 100 trillion cells. They provide structure, enable the absorption of nutrients, excrete waste, get your muscles working and pump blood around your body. In short, cells keep you thinking, moving… and living!
But to work and perform as they should, cells require the correct proportion of 78+ electrolytes and trace elements. Currently, this isn’t happening, and there are things the sports industry doesn’t tell you.
In the last 50 years, food has become critically nutritionally devalued, meaning it doesn’t nourish your cells as it used to. We’re encouraged to drink litres of water every day to stay hydrated, but the reality is that water alone doesn’t hydrate you.
Sports electrolyte tablets or powders simply don’t work, and they can have a toxic effect on your cells. And what’s more, the sports world is so focused on fitness from the shoulders down, that the brain and its cells are constantly ignored.
The secret to a high-performing body is having fit, well- nourished cells. If your cells are looked after properly, they’re in a constant state of readiness and recovery.
