Ahead of our 2024 World Championships in Uzbekistan, IMMAF President Kerrith Brown flew out to Tashkent to meet with Asian MMAF president Mohammed Qamber, Uzbekistan Sports Minister Afkham Ikramov, General secretary of NOC of Uzbekistan Oybek Kasimov and vice president of NOC Uzbekistan Sherzod Tashmatov.
Speaking on the meeting ahead of our championships in November, Mr Brown said:
“We had a successful meeting underlying and discussing various prechecks for the World Championships coming up in November.
We toured the venue to check on the facilities and the different departments to ensure we have everything perfect, all the way down to the asset list. Everything seems to be going smoothly.
The meeting with the Sports Minister was pivotal to ensure he remains fully supported and on board with IMMAF and that his representatives, who have been allocated to support the World Championships, have been given access.
We want to thank Sports Minister Afkham Ikramov for giving us his full support and a full endorsement for this event and to extend our congratulations to him on recently receiving the honorary title of ‘Honored Health Worker of the Republic of Uzbekistan’.
We want to thank everybody for the support and hospitality, and we are looking forward to a great World Championships where we believe we will break all the records for most countries and most numbers.”
The 2024 IMMAF World Championships will take place from the 5th-10th of November. We look forward to welcoming as many of you as possible to Uzbekistan.
