The Armenian National Federation has begun its preparations for the IMMAF Youth World Championships.
The MMA Federation of Armenia organized the Armenian MMA Championship on May 28 and 29 in Yerevan, Dinamo, with nearly 300 athletes participating.
Led by Garegin Aghabalyan, president of the MMA Federation of Armenia, the event served as a huge platform for showcasing MMA talent in the country and selecting athletes for the Armenian national team for upcoming international IMMAF events.
Following the successful event, which boosted the MMA ecosystem in Armenia, the Armenian National Federation will now focus on preparing the qualified fighters for the IMMAF Youth World Championships and other IMMAF events scheduled for this year.
“Based on the results of the Armenian MMA Championship in 2024, we will develop a national team in different age categories to participate in the Youth World Championship in Abu Dhabi, the junior and senior championship in Uzbekistan, and other international championships,” Garegin Aghabalyan noted after the event.
The 2024 IMMAF Youth World Championships will take place at the Mubadala Arena in Abu Dhabi, UAE, from August 5 to August 11, featuring the next generation of MMA stars from around the world.
This event marks the beginning of a busy August for IMMAF. Following the Youth World Championship, the 2024 IMMAF Asian Championships will be held from August 18 to August 22 in Lahore, Pakistan, for the first time.
The 2024 IMMAF World Championships are currently scheduled to take place in Tashkent, Uzbekistan, in October.
