In the dynamic setting of the International Convention Center (ICC), IMMAF President Kerrith Brown and CEO Densign White graced the SportAccord World & Business Summit. The prestigious event, hosted by the City of Birmingham and the West Midlands Growth Company from the 7th to the 11th of April 2024, brought together industry leaders and visionaries to shape the future of sports and business.
During the SportAccord World & Business Summit, IMMAF President and CEO engaged in a series of pivotal meetings with esteemed sports leaders, including AIMS President Mr. Stefan Fox, WAKO President Mr. Roy Baker, WADA President Mr. Witold Banka, WADA Global Director Mr. Sebastien Gilot, and International Testing Agency (ITA) Director Mr. Benjamin Cohen.
Of particular significance was IMMAF’s invitation to the AIMS membership session, where the new SportAccord IF membership application was elucidated. Subsequent discussions with SportAccord’s Governance and Legal Officer, Mr. Davide Delphini, provided detailed insights into the application criteria for IMMAF and its National membership.
A private audience with the new SportAccord President, Mr. Ugur Erdener, underscored IMMAF’s strategic positioning within the global sports landscape.
The President and CEO were honoured with invitations to the exclusive VIP dinner at the Grand Hotel, and the closing of the summit culminating in a charitable fundraiser for the Birmingham Children’s Hospital, orchestrated by the Muay Thai Federation (IFMA). IMMAF’s philanthropic contribution to this noble cause, alongside the West Midlands Growth Company, exemplified their commitment to social responsibility.
As the SportAccord membership process commences in May 2024, IMMAF’s proactive engagement sets a precedent for collaborative growth and innovation within the international sports community.
