Athlete registration opens today, December 9, for the 2022 IMMAF World Championships for Seniors and Juniors. Hosted by the Serbian MMA Federation, the two amateur tournaments are to take place at Štark Arena, in Novi Beograd (Belgrade), Serbia, from 11 to 18 February. IMMAF’s OTT platform, immaf.tv, will stream all bouts for fans all over the world.

The Championships will hold six weight divisions for female athletes, from Atomweight to Lightweight, and ten for male athletes, from Strawweight to Super Heavyweight. Those interested in competing should contact their IMMAF-affiliated national MMA federation for information. The deadline for entries is 13 January 2023. The competition will be conducted per the latest IMMAF Amateur rules.

IMMAF President Kerrith Brown said:

“This is the IMMAF flagship event where athletes gather from around the world on the biggest stage for amateur MMA. We have found a partner in the Serbian MMA Federation with all of the human and financial resources to make this happen. On behalf of the IMMAF board of directors, I would like to extend my gratitude and congratulations to the President of the host federation Mr Luka Nikolic for securing these championships”.

Luka Nikolić, President SMMAA, said:

“As president of the MMA Federation of Serbia, it is a great honour for me that we will be the hosts in Belgrade. I wish good health to all national teams, coaches and fighters so they can show their best skills on the days of the championships.”
