Ahead of the 2022 FIFA World Cup, IMMAF invites you to vote for your favourite knock-outs in the IMMAF Knockout World Cup on IMMAF social media.
The competition will take place exclusively on the IMMAF Instagram channel, where fans will have the power to decide their favourite knockout from the past several years; as IMMAF celebrates its 10th year anniversary.
The FIFA World Cup is considered by many as the biggest sporting event in the world, and IMMAF is very excited to launch the social media fan awards alongside the upcoming major soccer tournament.
The format will be contested similarly to the FIFA World Cup, as a knockout tournament, starting with the round of 16. The tournament is not limited to a range of dates and will feature some of the greatest knockouts in IMMAF history.
The participating teams were selected on the following criteria:
– Achievements and rankings of national teams at Continental and World Championships.
– Quality of knockouts in IMMAF competition.
– Fair representation across five continents.
The participating nations are as follows:
Africa: Angola, South Africa, Namibia
Asia: Bahrain, Kazakhstan, Tajikistan
Europe: England, France, Ukraine, Poland
Oceania: Australia, French Polynesia, New Zealand
Pan America: Brazil, Mexico, USA
Brackets are available via the IMMAF Instagram channel. Voting will take place exclusively on @IMMAFed, starting with the Round of 16 from November 18-21. The IMMAF Knockout World Cup final will take place November 30th.
The winning team will be honoured at the 2023 Amateur MMA Awards, which will take place at the 2022 World Championships.
