Renowned International Official Marc Goddard is bringing his Mixed Martial Arts Referee & Judge training and certification programme to the UK.
The two-day programme will take place from October 15-16 at Renegade MMA, Unit B 1585 Bristol Road South, Longbridge, Birmingham B45 9UA. There is limited availability of places on the course.
The seminar is a full two-day affair with both practical and written assessments for the referee and judging elements. Successful candidates will be granted an international IMMAF license, and those deemed as not meeting the required standards will be recommended for national level to gain the required experience over time.

The Unified Rules of MMA – what are they?, Bout duration, Stopping the contest, Fouls in MMA – a full break down, Protocol when dealing with fouls, Unintentional vs Intentional, Dealing with Dr’s & ringside physicians, Your responsibilities, In fight scenarios and how to deal with them, Referee positioning, Chokes, strangles & suffocation, Dealing with applied submissions, The 10 point must system & its use in MMA, Scoring criteria – what is it? Examples & explanation of the criteria, Common pitfalls, misconceptions & how to avoid them, How to apply the correct use of the criteria, Scores that can be given, Decisions – ways to win & how.
Candidates will undergo a referee practical assessment, techniques assessment, judging scoring evaluation & practical, and a written test paper as a part of the course.
