IMMAF.TV relaunches for the IMMAF Youth MMA World Championships

IMMAF.TV relaunches tomorrow, Thursday 29 July, ahead of this weekend’s 2021 IMMAF Youth MMA World Championships for 12 to 17 year olds.

The tournament, which plays out in Sofia (Bulgaria) from 30 July to 1 August, marks the first IMMAF youth event to be streamed live, showcasing the advanced talent and skill of MMA’s next generation from twenty-four participating nations. The competition will run daily from 10am EEST/ UTC+3) with an estimated run time of 6 hours. Matches will also be available on demand after the event.

To celebrate the relaunch of the channel, IMMAF is offering viewers a special pay-per-view price package that includes three-days’ lives streaming of all fields-of-play, plus unlimited video-on-demand access, for just $2.99.

MMA fans can also subscribe to immaf.tv for just $6.99 per month to watch all IMMAF Championships live, plus archive highlights programmes and matches from 2014 to present, on-demand. 

Other upcoming IMMAF Championships in 2021 include the European Senior & Junior Championships (16 August – 20 August), MMA World Cup – Prague (8 – 11 September) and IMMAF Senior & Junior World Championships (27 November – 4 December), with a full calendar of eight championships planned for 2022.

IMMAF President, Kerrith Brown, said:

“IMMAF provides the development platform for MMA’s next generation. Three-hundred-and-seventy twelve to seventeen-year-olds have registered to compete in IMMAF’s second Youth World Championships, with an increase in uptake since 2019 despite the obstacles posed by the pandemic. These youths represent a generation that has trained in MMA since day one and show a game-changing level of skill that sets new benchmark for the future of the sport.”

ABOUT YOUTH COMPETITION RULES

IMMAF Youth MMA rule sets disallow strikes head strikes for under 18s and are modified from the IMMAF Amateur MMA Rules with regards to the physiological development of the following three age categories, as advised by IMMAF’s expert medical, coaching and regulatory committees:

• IMMAF Youth A 16-17s (U18)
• IMMAF Youth B 14-15s (U16)
• IMMAF Youth C 12-13s (U14)

All participants must hold a minimum IMMAF grading level of yellow in MMA.
