The inaugural Israeli MMA Federation under 21s and Senior Championships have been hailed a huge success by the ISR-MMA CEO Ido Pariente.
The championships took place on July 3rd at Beit Berl Sports Hall in front of a limited but extremely entertained crowd. The card bolstered 8 bouts with each winner securing their position on the ISR-MMA national team ahead of this year’s European Championships in Kazan, Russia which takes place on 16-20 August 2021.
“The event was a huge success!” Pariente said.
“We are so proud to be able to hold this event for the first time in Israel, all the fighters fought like true warriors just to take their place in the national team.
Although only gaining IMMAF global membership recently, ISR-MMA have worked extremely hard in order to prepare athletes for this year’s competitions. Competing athletes came from a variety of the best gyms around the country, and are now set to represent their country at two IMMAF tournaments.
“Now we have two teams ready,” said Pariente. “There will be a youth team at the world championship in Bulgaria and a senior team for the European championship in Russia.
But ISR-MMA is not resting on their laurels : “We are ready this year to organise smaller shows at the beginning of October and the end of November,” said Pariente about a federation that is already making its mark.
