Following the legalisation and recognition of MMA in France at the beginning of the year, under the auspices French Boxing Federation, on Wednesday 9 September the French MMA Federation launches its registration system for club affiliations and licensing.
IMMAF President Kerrith Brown commented:
“IMMAF fully commends the French system that takes sports governance and regulation extremely seriously and therefore requires licensing of sport coaches and clubs in order to protect participants. We have been working closely with the French Boxing Federation and French MMA Federation in their implementation of international standards as they work to establish a national framework for MMA. The FFB, and the new FMMAF beneath it, have worked at speed and in depth to be able launch a membership system so soon. As the international governing body for MMA, we recommend that anyone in France who is serious about their practice of MMA under the globally recognised Unified Rules should sign up to an FMMAF affiliated club, since the FMMAF is the only organisation in France that can provide a hallmark of excellence, recognised at an international level by governing bodies, national governments and the world’s leading commercial promoters.”
A fully digitalized system
For club membership registration and the of licensing club members and practitioners, the FMMAF is offering a digitalised system via a dedicated App. The aim is that the system should simplify administrative management, providing optimal flexibility for members of the MMA community to complete the process at any time from Wednesday September 9 from any computer or smartphone.
Licenses for each MMA practice
The Federation caters to different training pathways for those practicing MMA. A range of license options are therefore offered at various price points with the aim of being as affordable and beneficial to the practitioner as possible. The FMMAF is keen to facilitate access to the discipline to as many people as possible.
Details of license prices and eligibility for club membership are available on the FMMAF website alongside a link to the application.
