By IMMAF.org lead writer, Jorden Curran French amateur MMA veteran Henri Dimitri secured the UK based BCMMA crown on April 7, competing in the South-Eastern branch of the fast growing Cage Warriors Academy network. BCMMA cards have become known for welcoming international competitors and IMMAF championships veterans from nations including France, Norway and Sweden. Dimitri acquired the Cage Warriors Academy South-Eastern Welterweight Title with a Unanimous Decision win over Englishman Dean Glencross. In 2015 BCMMA broke ground in conforming to official sanctioning under the UK MMA Federation, including preliminary physical examinations, Safe MMA medical clearance and blood testing, use of certified referees, etc. Dimitri is a registered member of the UKMMAF’s French counterpart, Commission Française de Mixed Martial Arts (CFMMA), and has represented the French national team since 2016, competing for his country at the IMMAF World and European Championships over the past two years.
