IMMAF heads are today in the Kingdom of Bahrain for the official announcement and press conference of the 2017 IMMAF World Championships of Amateur MMA. The fourth IMMAF World Championships will take place outside of the United States for the the first time. The championships will be held under the patronage of first deputy president of Supreme Council for Youth and Sports and honorary president of Bahrain Mixed Martial Arts Association (BMMAA) Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa. International media will make their way to the Sofitel Zallaq Hotel this afternoon with the press conference taking place at 5:30pm local time.
